Nurse Ammo

Nurse Ammo // Ammo the Dachshund

I’m going to be spending a lot of time on the couch for the next couple of weeks, because I have a very important job to do.

I’ve got my very best nurse hat on because mom had knee surgery earlier this week and is going to have to be on crutches for the next 6 weeks.

I’m very sad to have to miss agility class and going to the farm, but I know if I take extra good care of mom we’ll be back to normal in no time.

So my blog posts might be a bit varied for the next few weeks, and I may need to get a bit creative since my official photographer is a little under the weather. Well, at least until I learn how to work the camera with these clumsy paws. But have no fear, I’m not going anywhere! xoxo, Ammo the Dachshund

  1. My dachshund always takes such good care of me when I’m sick. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and when i got home she went to bed with me and never left my side. Same when I had my gall bladder removed several years ago. Dachshunds make the very best caregivers. Hope your mom gets better soon.

  2. We know the feeling well Ammo! My Mommy is sick too and I’ve been nursing her back to health (well except for the part where I barfed in the bed early this morning.)

I hope your Mom feels better real soon. Mommy said knee surgery is NO fun at all.

  3. Ammo, I am glad you can be there for your mom. She will need you a lot. Maybe you can get your dad to drive you and mom to the farm on weekends when she gets to feeling a bit better. You could get in a little run and say hello to your pony and cat friends. I hope the six weeks healing time flys by.

    • I’ve already logged some time on the farm with dad, and I’m sure in no time mom will be back out there with me!
