Friday Fetch: Scott Lifshutz Pillows

west elm dog pillowsI don’t know about you, but at my house, the couch is mine! I like to watch my shows on there in the evening, there seems to me no shortage of warm laps to share, and it’s where I snuggle up in blankets for the night. So I figure since it’s MINE, I should probably get to decorate it however I like. That’s why I picked out these fun pet pillows for today’s Friday Fetch.

As part of an exclusive collaboration with west elm, noted pet portraitist Scott Lifshutz created a series of new paintings, including a happy pack of four-legged friends, a hound, and a horse, which are printed in artful watercolor-style silhouette on cotton pillow covers using a special technique to capture and preserve all of the painterly details and nuances of Scott’s originals.

He also designed a series of fun appetizer plates featuring some furry four-legged friends. You can check them out here.

You can fetch Scott’s designs at West Elm for $19 – $29

Balloons

Boy did I have a fun Easter! How about you? Don’t worry, I plan to tell you all about it in a few days – but first I remembered I forgot to tell you about something I did last week!

Remember the baby shower I got to go to last Sunday? Well I can’t believe I forgot to tell you that mom actually let me help set up for it! I know right, she never lets me help!

The best part….it involved Balloons of all things!

I guess I can sorta understand why mom doesn’t usually let me help with things like these….because I had a little accident….

We had one Balloon casualty. But it’s not my fault…..it’s really hard to tie a knot when all you have are paws! Sigh.

Friday Fetch: Barking Mad Wallpaper

Sometimes I like to do a little “home remodeling”. Who says a dog can’t have cool digs? If I had my way, this super cool doggie wallpaper would be plastered all over my palace.

From afar, a traditional pattern emerges; up close, however, it’s a dog’s day. Scottish terriers abound in all sizes and patterns, lending levity to this cheeky pattern.

Scottish Terriers, yes, but what I noticed were the DACHSHUND silhouettes! Yippee for being “in style”.

If you’re looking for something to spruce up your walls for spring you can fetch this wallpaper over at Anthorpologie.
