Trooper and I have always been really competitive. We compete for pretty much everything including treats, toys, dinner, and who gets to eat the cat food first!

Most of the time I win at everything (I’m a dachshund, I was born a wienner!), but every once in a while something comes along that Trooper puts up a little more of a fight for! Check out the video below for proof….

Trooper wasn’t going to let me get away with having all the fun with our PetQwerks Flavorit Bones.

See these nylon dog bones have tiny little holes on them that allow them to be filled with your dog’s favorite soft spread like peanut butter, cream cheese and more.

When You’re Bored at Work

Disclaimer: this post is brought to you by Chewy.com. All opinions are my own and I received a product in exchange for my honest review. I only share products that I think you and your dogs will love.

Sometimes at work I get a little bored (as evident by the video above). Let’s be honest, I can’t run the machinery at the shop or actually frame a picture (these darn paws), and unless there is a constant flow of customers coming in the door I get a little restless without someone available to play with me 24/7.

So when my friends over at Chewy.com sent me this Outward Hound Star Spinner Toy mom thought it might be a fun distraction for me at work when she’s too busy to play.

All you need are a few yummy treats to get started. Mom used some of my kibble.

Pop them into the Star Spinner and you’re ready for business.

Mom closed it all up so that it would be more of a challenge before giving it to me.

It also has a knob on the bottom that you can use to adjust the difficulty (how easily the star spins open), and since I’m such a smarty pants I started on the hardest setting.

Since I’m pretty used to playing puzzles and games this particular toy was a bit too easy for me, but it was still fun to play with! Mom thought it would be really great for dogs who eat their meals too quickly, because this would really slow them down.

Ammo the Dachshund Reviews the Kibble Drop from Chewy.com

I like to think I’m a pretty smart dog. So when my friends at Chewy.com sent me this Outward Hound Kibble Drop Puzzle Dog Toy, designed to challenge your pup, I said……challenge accepted!

Ammo the Dachshund Reviews the Kibble Drop from Chewy.com

With the Kibble Drop Toy you simply drop a few treats or dry kibble into the top opening where they fall to any of the 4 chambers. Your dog must then determine which chamber the treat has fallen into and which flap to lift in order to retrieve it. Scent holes on the chambers assist in your pup’s search for the reward!

Check out the video below to find out if the Kibble Drop was able to outsmart me…

My mom says this toy would be great for dogs that eat their meals too fast, because you could drop their kibble in it to slow them down at mealtime. It’s also good to know that it’s made with durable food-safe plastic and is BPA, PVC, & phthalate free.

So what do you think, do you think your pup would be outsmarted by the Kibble Drop Toy? Find out by snagging one from Chewy.com ON SALE for $7.99!Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

Toys for Ponies & Dogs

Toys for Ponies & Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

My ponies recently got a new toy to play with in their pasture.

Mom fills it with bits of hay and horse treats, and the ponies proceed to bite, kick, and roll it around the pasture in the hopes that one will eventually pop out of the hole.

It was quite obvious they had no idea what they were doing. So being that I’m so well versed in the art of interactive toys, I offered to show them how it’s done.

Alright fine, I rolled and kicked it too! Apparently pony toys are built to last!

The World of Dog Agility Toys

Unknown to me until recently there is this whole world out there of secret dog agility toys. Toys designed to encourage dogs to jump, run, and soar over the agility equipment. Toys that any dog would love – regardless of whether or not they love dog agility too.

So I convinced my mom that since I’m training so hard in my weekly dog agility classes that I MUST have some of these dog agility training toys. So mom purchased me a few goodies from Clean Run.

This jackpot and tug toy is designed to win over even the toughest of critics. I only use this one when I’m training, but it’s mighty mighty fun to “kill”.

These handy toys are called food tubes. Stuff them with a yummy treats (dried hotdogs were my choice) and then you can shake them to get your dogs attention and even toss them. The handy top makes dispensing them super easy (which is totally my kind of toy).

My favorite of the toys is the rip n tug treat dispensing ball. You put your dog’s favorite treats in the center, then velco it closed.

I’ve been having a blast playing fetch with this ball, then ripping it apart to grab my treats.

Now where exactly has this hidden world of dog agility toys been all my life! It’s a magical magical world, and as I’ve already told mom, I think I need to test them all now! Ammo the Dachshund

P.S. if you’re interested in dog agility and want to try the fun activity with your dog too, make sure you check out our sponsor The Dog Agility Shop, for great materials to make inexpensive DIY agility equipment for your own backyard.

Disclosure: I was not paid or perked to write about these toys or this company. I purchased these toys with my own monies, and simply wanted to share the goodness with all of you!
