Friday Fetch: Dog Rocks

I spotted these Dog Rocks recently and thought they were quite an interesting product. They are a 100% natural prevention & cure to canine lawn urine burn patches. They are safe for all breeds of dogs and any other pet you share your household with.  Dog Rocks were discovered in Australia by an Aboriginal gardener in the 1990s and the product has since been tried, tested, launched & sold into pet, vet and garden centre markets worldwide.

Friday Fetch: Dog Rocks

Simply place the rocks in your dog’s water bowl and it helps keep the impurities out so your lawn stays nice and green!

You can fetch your own dog rocks for about $16.

Disclosure: This post was not paid for or sponsored by dog rocks, and I have never tried this product myself. Just wanted to share my latest find!

Care 4 Dogs Snood Review & Giveaway - Hood for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

The winter in Pennsylvania this year has been pretty harsh, but thanks to my new friends at Care 4 Dogs I’m a little extra warmer in my new winter snood! (incase you didn’t know a snood is a tubular scarf that you wear around your neck kinda like a hood).

Care 4 Dogs Snood Review & Giveaway - Hood for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

My new dark grey snood was custom made to fit my neck and head measurements (and can be custom made for any dog too). I’ve been enjoying wearing it over my ears this winter to keep them extra warm in the cold.

Or if your dog doesn’t like things over their ears you can also opt to just wear it around your neck for some extra warmth.

Care 4 Dogs Snood Review & Giveaway - Hood for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

One end of the snood is a bit more fitted to it’s sure to stay nice and snug on my head – but not too snug that it isn’t easy to pull off.

My Care 4 Dogs Snood is now one of my must have winter accessories – I never leave home without it!

Supplies:

Step One: If you want your flirt pole to be extra colorful you may want to paint it. I painted mine to have a silvery finish.

Step Two: Once your paint is dry twist a screw eye into one end of it.

Step Three: Cut your fleece into two 25″ x 5″ strips. Alternatively you could also use an old stuffed toy that your dog loves as well.

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

My January Barkbox subscription is here! You guys, let me tell you, I could hardly contain myself when that goodness arrived at my doorstep this month.

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

So I did what any other dog would do, I ripped that sucker open and grabbed the first thing I smelled!

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

This month’s Barkbox was packed with some delicious goodies as per usual.

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

We had the Loving Pets Barksters – crunchy sweet potato & beef crisps, a Harry Barker Tug n’ Toss rope toy, a Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick Chew (which I devoured right out of the box), and Think! Dog Alligator Jerky. Yes, I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever had actual alligator…..but I’m looking forward to trying it. I hear they are great for dogs with allergies to more common proteins like beef or chicken.

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

And lastly we’ve got the Wigzi! A dishwasher safe, recyclable, made in the USA toy that floats…..now if I could just get my dad to stop playing with it too!

Friday Fetch with Barkbox // Ammo the Dachshund

So as you can see, for a box filled with all that dog-gone goodness…..it never stood a chance!

You can fetch your own BarkBox starting at $19 a month. It’s the perfect thing to gift your pup this Valentines Day! Save $5 on your BarkBox subscription if you use code AMMO5!

Mine was packed with 7 delightful goodies, lets take a look at what I got….

Barkworthies BullyStick – Dynamo Dog Treats – Puppy Puck Toy – Merrick Cowboy Cookout

Bugsy Box Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

VetraCare Liquid Bandage – VetraCare Ear Wipes – Healthy Dogma Treats – Pupato Chips

Mom thought it was neat that the box came with some veterinary care items, as it’s always nice to have things like that on hand just incase of an emergency. (Paws crossed we never actually need to use it though). Some of the products I had come across before, while others were new to me, but all of them seemed to be healthy and appropriate items for me. All of the items are also made in the USA or Canada.

Of course I wasted no time in digging into a few of my favorites! Yum!

How I spend my Christmas

The Christmas festivities have come and gone, but I’m still reminiscing about all the fun I had with friends and family.

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

I kicked off the festivities on Christmas eve with a trip to Trooper’s house!

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

Trooper and I had a blast opening gifts with our family, and I even gifted Trooper a new reflective vest and collar to wear during hunting season on the farm.

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

Between the both of us we opened up some fun new toys like this Pickle for Trooper and a new Kong toy for me. Needless to say I confiscated both of them….for testing purposes of course!

Christmas eve of course wasn’t complete until we got a little snow! Just what I needed before I put on my pj’s and dreamed of elves and the jolly old fat man!

Before I could see what Santa brought me on Christmas morning I headed out to the farm to take care of my ponies, and I had fun watching them open their new toy from Santa!

Then it was back home to open my own presents under the tree!

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

Santa must have thought I was a really good boy this year (and don’t you tell him otherwise), because I got so many goodies I hardly knew what to play with first!

But before I had a chance to play with much of anything it was off to my mom-mom and pop-pop’s house to have Christmas with my cousins!

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

My cousins were very nice to share most of their toys with me, although I was much more excited to get home to my own toys than playing Skylanders.

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

Although my cousins did gift me this fun new duck toy, which I had a blast tearing into!

I bet you are wondering just what I got for Christmas right?

Well one of my very favorite toys was a stuffed cup of hot chocolate that my mom and dad picked up for a couple bucks from goodwill….

It doesn’t take much to make this dog happy!

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

I also got the new Planet Dog Snoop Toy (one of my current favorite toys, and thus far indestructible!), KONG Starpod (I already broke a hole in this one!), a Bumble Ball (which I must admit I’m a little scared of as it vibrates!), a Ruffwear Lunker Toy (which I can’t wait to try out it’s floating capabilities at the lake this summer) and several bags of cookies!

How I spent my Christmas // Ammo the Dachshund

Dad also got me a new stand for my photo backdrops, yippee!

By the end of the day I was pretty exhausted! But I had a wonderful Christmas with the people (and animals) I love!

Did you have as jolly a Christmas as I did? Ammo the Dachshund
