Dog Toy or Baby Toy

Dog Toy or Baby Toy

Ever since Baby P showed up at my house the toy situation has gotten a little confusing. As in, how am I supposed to tell the difference between a baby toy and dog toy? That’s where you come in!

Dog Toy or Baby Toy

Can you help me decipher which one of these fine toys are dog toys and which are baby toys?

I loose sleep over this. Did I chew on Baby P’s favorite stuffed animal or did I bury the correct ball in the back yard? It’s enough to make you crazy!

Once you’ve made your guesses scroll on down to the bottom of the page to see if you got it right…..

When You’re Bored at Work

Disclaimer: this post is brought to you by Chewy.com. All opinions are my own and I received a product in exchange for my honest review. I only share products that I think you and your dogs will love.

Sometimes at work I get a little bored (as evident by the video above). Let’s be honest, I can’t run the machinery at the shop or actually frame a picture (these darn paws), and unless there is a constant flow of customers coming in the door I get a little restless without someone available to play with me 24/7.

A Smart Toy for Bored Shop Dogs from Chewy.com #ad

So when my friends over at Chewy.com sent me this Outward Hound Star Spinner Toy mom thought it might be a fun distraction for me at work when she’s too busy to play.

A Smart Toy for Bored Shop Dogs from Chewy.com #ad

All you need are a few yummy treats to get started. Mom used some of my kibble.

A Smart Toy for Bored Shop Dogs from Chewy.com #ad

Pop them into the Star Spinner and you’re ready for business.

Mom closed it all up so that it would be more of a challenge before giving it to me.

A Smart Toy for Bored Shop Dogs from Chewy.com #ad

It also has a knob on the bottom that you can use to adjust the difficulty (how easily the star spins open), and since I’m such a smarty pants I started on the hardest setting.

Since I’m pretty used to playing puzzles and games this particular toy was a bit too easy for me, but it was still fun to play with! Mom thought it would be really great for dogs who eat their meals too quickly, because this would really slow them down.

Nylon Dog Bone Chews with an Extra Kick + A Giveaway

Disclaimer: this post and giveaway is brought to you by Pet Qwerks. All opinions are my own and I only share products I think you and your pets will love!

Nylon Dog Chew with an Extra Kick from @PetQwerks + A Giveaway

My new friends over at Pet Qwerks recently came out with a new dog chew called the Flavorit™ that I think your dogs are going to love! Now if your dog likes to chew (as most dogs do), this is a new Nylon bone that they’re going to love sinking their teeth into.

Nylon Dog Chew with an Extra Kick from @PetQwerks + A Giveaway

The Flavorit comes in 8 different flavors that are infused into the nylon bones and is available in 4 sizes. They also come in a Flex version for moderate chewers as well as the standard version for tough chewers.

Since I’m a very aggressive chewer I decided to start out with the standard version (later I did test out the Flex, but it’s not the best fit for me since I am so aggressive with my chewing).

Now you may have noticed the tiny little holes on each side of the Flavorit. They are what make this nylon bone so unique! Not only is each bone flavored as is, but you can also fill each of these tiny flavor cells with your dog’s favorite soft spread like peanut butter, cheese, cream cheese or anything else soft.

Nylon Dog Chew with an Extra Kick from @PetQwerks + A Giveaway

Both sides of the Flavorit have a concave design so that the messy treats you put on your bone end up in your dog’s mouth (or the bone) and not on the carpet. Mom found it helpful to wipe off any excess peanut butter with a paper towel before she gave it to me so that I for sure wouldn’t make a mess on anything I wasn’t supposed to.

I have to say the standard Flavorit held up quite well to my big chompers, and the added peanut butter flavor (which is my favorite) really kept me busy for quite some time.

Mom even let me chew on it on her brand-new carpet….and it really was mess-free! (or I would of been in big trouble).

The Flavorit is made in the USA of 100% nylon and is even dishwasher safe (if your dog can’t get all the flavor out on their own!).

Dachshund vs. Bed Sheet

Did you know that dog toys are overrated? That’s right, what if I told you there was something everyone has in their house that your dog will LOVE to play with. Well I guess if they’re anything like me they’ll love it. Check me out as I have the BEST TIME EVER with an old bed sheet!

You may have caught my original bed sheet playing video on instagram, but incase you missed the shortened version you can check it out below:

Friday Fetch: Little Barkster Dog Toys

I stumbled across the Little Barkster on Etsy and thought their line of plush dog toys was oh-so-fun. These handmade toys look totally nibble worthy. Too bad my powerful choppers would for sure devour them in seconds, but they would be pretty while they lasted!

Friday Fetch: Squeaky Dog Toys with a Mute Button

I don’t know about you, but personally I love a good squeak toy. Something about that ear piercing sound just gets my tail wagging. Now Mom and Dad, they sort of have a love/hate relationship with my squeaky toys. They love that they make me happy but sometimes wish I wouldn’t do all that squeaking, especially when an episode of the Big Bang Theory is on.

So when I stumbled upon these fun toys from Kong that feature an on/off button for the squeaker I knew that they were a perfect compromise.

Stylish Toy Storage for Dogs

Toy Storage for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

Toys! It’s one of my favorite subjects, and when you’re a dog you can never have enough of them! Since I have quite a few things to play with around the house, mom is constantly combating my clutter by putting my toys into baskets and totes.

Toy Storage for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

I like to think I’m a pretty stylish guy, so when it comes to storing my toys I don’t just settle for any old basket. My most recent stylish purchases have come from the Land of Nod.

Toy Storage for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

Not only are they fun to look at, but since they are soft I don’t have to worry about injuring my neck when getting out my favorite toys.

Toy Storage for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

Of course my toys looked like they were having lots of fun in my new baskets, so I couldn’t just stand by and let them have all the fun!

Toy Storage for Dogs // Ammo the Dachshund

It wasn’t as exciting as I had imagined in my head.

But it’s good to know that there is plenty of room for lots and lots more toys. (you hear that mom!?) Ammo the Dachshund

You can fetch your own toy storage totes from The Land of Nod.

Disclosure: I was not paid or perked to share these products, I just simply thought my new bins were oh-so-fun.

The Polka Dog Bakery at Target

It’s no secret that I love to shop (who doesn’t?), and I’m always so excited when I find a super cool new product or shop.

Recently Target stores across the country launched The Shops, which is a collection of products from local boutique stores like Cos Bar, Privet House, The Candy Store, The Webster, and my personal favorite The Polka Dog Bakery. So just like any good dog mom, my mom headed to Target yesterday to check it out for me while I waited in the car (since sadly I couldn’t sneak in myself). Each store varies in their merchandise, but you can check out most of their collection online.

Of course just scoping out the new products isn’t enough – you have to physically test the merchandise!

So mom came home with a Dog Toy and a box of cookies for me to try.

If you can’t tell by the look on my face, it was a glorious day!

My ice cream sandwich may have not tasted like the real thing, but it was fantastic just the same.

the polka dog bakery at target - ammo the dachshund

Not only did it squeak, but it was filled with stuffing too!

I eventually broke a hole in my ice cream sandwich, so it doesn’t squeak anymore – but it’s still just as fun to play with. Plus, mom says I look super adorable when I nibble on it.

Later mom let me snack on some of the Polka Dog Bakery treats, which were an all-natural chicken flavor.

They get an A++ from me for yumminess! In fact, I’m so in love with my Polka Dog Bakery items that I’m already trying to convince mom to raid all of the Target’s in my area for more fun items from the collection.

Anyone else spot fun items from The Polka Dog Bakery at their local Target? You can post your finds on my Facebook page so we can all drool over their fabulous items!

P.S. Dear Target & The Polka Dog Bakery, if you are reading this, I am more than happy to test all of your merchandise! It would be a big time commitment, but I’m willing to dedicate myself to the cause! 😉

Disclaimer: First image found on the Target Website. I was not paid or perked to write this post, I simply found the Polka Dog Bakery items simply irresistible. You can connect with The Polka Dog Bakery via their Facebook Page, Blog and Website too.

The Goods

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. Which means that not only did I get to hang out with my Valentine, but I also got some goodies from my Mom & Dad – because they love me so much!

ammo the dachshund valentines day treats

I made out pretty good this year! Mom made me some no-bake healthy treats from a recipe on Pretty Fluffy. Yum Yum.

And then I got some new dog toys from Planet Dog. These toys are my absolute favorite! So far they are pretty indestructible (which mom likes – but I’m determined to prove her wrong), and they have a minty flavor that’s oh-so-tasty. I could play fetch with my new toys for hours!

Happy Valentine’s Day to me!

So what about you, did your furry friends get lots of V-day goodies? Extra snuggles? (those are the best).

Sending lots of love your way, xoxo
