Christmas Memories

Christmas Memories

Well, Christmas at my house came and went, and it was a fantastic whirlwind of wrapping paper, family and plenty of fun! And since I know you don’t want to feel like you missed the fun, I decided to share a recap of all my adventures.

Christmas Memories

This year of course was extra special because I got to share my Christmas morning with my new little sister, Baby P.

Christmas Memories

I helped her open all her presents from Santa, and explained to her why we aren’t supposed to be super excited when we get socks in our stocking. (although I’m pretty sure that lecture when right over her head!)

Christmas Memories

And then I helped Baby P open a very interesting present….

Christmas Memories

….it was another me!!!

I wasn’t really sure how I felt about it at first. I mean was Santa trying to replace me?

Christmas Memories

But as the day went on I realized he wasn’t all that bad. I mean after all we now out number the babies in this house….which means when it comes to take a vote on whether we go to shopping at Petco vs. Babies R’ Us me and my little sidekick here will win every time!

Christmas Memories

Christmas morning at my house was full of wonderful memories. And in case you are wondering, yes, I got lots of presents from Santa!

Christmas Memories

Christmas didn’t end there though, because my family and I were off to celebrate with all of our extended family. We ate, exchanged gifts, and created even more memories.

Christmas Memories

And when my cousins got into town, you know things got crazy!

Christmas Memories

And that my friends, is another Christmas come and gone! Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

What about you? What was your favorite Christmas memory this year?

You Don’t Need a Tissue When you have a Dog

You Don't Need a Tissue when you have a dog

From day 1 my sister has been infatuated with me. It’s probably my stunning good looks, and my spitfire personality that does it, or perhaps I guess it might be because I look like a giant stuffed animal.

You Don't Need a Tissue when you have a dog

And I’ve loved her from the start too, maybe because she looks like a big stuffed animal sometimes too!

Whatever the case may be, we’re both thick as thieves. So when my sister needs something, I’m going to be there for her. In this case it was a tissue…..and I was more than happy to oblige….

I just hope you repay the favor someday Baby P! Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

A Parading We Will Go

Holiday Christmas Parade

A few weekends ago I took Baby P on a very special outing. I took her to her very first Christmas parade!

Holiday Christmas Parade

Holiday Christmas Parade

The real reason I’m always in attendance of my town’s holiday parade is to entertain the customers at our shop. I always do a pretty good job of that (nobody’s better than me at playing dead), and this year Baby P even helped me out by squealing and dancing for all the visitors too (only my camera crew missed catching that, shame on them). It was nice to have a little extra help, entertaining customers is hard work!

Holiday Christmas Parade

But after our duties at the shop (and more than a few diaper changes for Baby P), we hit the streets to watch the parade.

Holiday Christmas Parade

Holiday Christmas Parade

Fire trucks and flashing lights are always a favorite for me and now my sister too, but the music really gets us in the Christmas mood!

Holiday Christmas Parade

I was super excited to see some fellow low riders in the parade! Although I’m pretty sure I totally had them out dressed!

Holiday Christmas Parade

Baby P though, she got to wave to Santa! I admit, I was a bit jealous, but then I remembered that I’ve had 8 years of Santa visiting my house just for me, so I felt a little better about sharing Santa with my sister this year. Overall we had a blast at the Holiday Parade this year, and I can’t wait until next year when my sister will be running around at it with me!

Only 3 more sleeps until I get to see what Santa brings me under the tree! I can’t wait!

Adventures of Ammo + Baby P: Vol. 4

Another month has passed and Baby P is now 4 months old! Can you believe it? And just like the past 3 months I was right by her side to document just how much she’s grown.

Adventures of Ammo & Baby P: Vol 4

Adventures of Ammo & Baby P: Vol 4

We’re super serious about our monthly photos….as you can see.

And because it’s the month of December, we totally had to take one making our “OMG Santa’s Coming!” faces!

Incase you missed the previous monthly sessions, be sure to check out Months 1 – 3 on my blog.

A Very Merry Christmas with the Jolly Guy

Just before Thanksgiving I went on a special adventure to visit Santa! Now I know what you’re thinking, visiting Santa before Thanksgiving? But hey….

A Very Merry Christmas

…no lines! And when you have your little baby sister with you, no lines is a good thing!

A Very Merry Christmas

That’s right, this was Baby P’s first time visiting with Santa. And you know I taught her well when the first thing she did was to tug on Santa’s beard to make sure it was real. You can never be too careful these days!

A Very Merry Christmas

And if you’re thinking I let Baby P have all the fun, you would be mistaken. I NEVER pass up the opportunity to tell a jolly man in a red suit EXACTLY what I want for Christmas!

A Very Merry Christmas

Next year Baby P and I need to work on our smiles. (It’s always hard to concentrate on picture taking when you’re trying to remember your Christmas wish list). We’ll get there.

It was fun to actually have a buddy to visit Santa with this year, after all, for the past 8 years I’ve been doing it solo. Santa is always more fun with friends!

Holiday Tidings

Holiday Tidings

Hey friends! My sister and I are here today to share how we spent last weekend getting into the holiday spirit. You know, because it’s not officially the Christmas season until you go full on Christmas!

Holiday Tidings

Number one on the to-do list, GET THE CHRISTMAS TREE!

Holiday Tidings

Since I’m an old pro about hunting down that special tree I got to lead the expedition for our happy Christmas tree. I was a bit worried at first that all the good ones were taken, but then I found the perfect one!

Holiday Tidings

Baby P agreed, so we said Dad, CHOP IT DOWN!

Holiday Tidings

But first we had to take a xmas tree self! (everyone does it)

Holiday Tidings

Timber!

Holiday Tidings

I could hardly get home fast enough once the tree was down to help decorate it with my family!

Holiday Tidings

Before the decorating could begin though mom got us all in front of the camera for a family portrait. A special one at that because we all got to wear our Ugly Christmas Sweaters from our friends at BooHoo.com. (that’s right, they have sweaters for the whole family, even the dog!)

Holiday Tidings

Although to be fair, I don’t think they are that ugly at all! Dad got to wear one that said “Chillin with my Snowmies”, Mom’s said “Santa! OMG Santa’s Coming, I know him, I know him” (can you guess that movie), Baby P was a little too small to fit into most of the sizes on their site but she didn’t want to be left out so she wore a 5 year old size that said “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal”. And as you can see I wore a fun holiday sweater too!

Holiday Tidings

Official Christmas Family Photo ….check! Now it was time to decorate the tree!

Holiday Tidings

The tree may have been trimmed, but Baby P and I weren’t ready to stop being Christmasy.

Holiday Tidings

With maybe a few outtakes here and there! Yay for Christmas!

You can snag a fun sweater for yourself and your pups from our friends at BooHoo.com!

When Jealousy Strikes

Disclaimer: This post is brought to you by Carlson Pet Products. All opinions are my own and I only share products I think you and your pets will love.

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

When I suddenly found myself this summer the big brother to a tiny little human, I never imagined all the cool stuff that would come with her. Like this play yard for instance. I mean just look how cool it is with all the dangling dog toys and colorful shapes.

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

It was so cool in fact that my mom kept finding me inside it, mostly when my sister wasn’t occupying it, but occasionally I just couldn’t resist jumping in to play with her too.

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

Mom said as cute as it was that I wanted to share in my sisters playtime that it wasn’t really a good idea. Because even though I try my hardest to be gentle, I do have pointy nails, and a tail, and sometimes I don’t always look before I leap. (guilty as charged)

While this is all very true I admit, how was it fair that I didn’t get to play in her little pen with all the fun toys?

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

I guess I shouldn’t have worried too much, because did you know there is such a thing as a Portable Pet Pen?

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet PenCarlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

That’s right, inside this bag is my very own personal play pen!

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet PenCarlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

It popped open in seconds (you can check out a video of it in action), and I knew my sister was going to be so jealous when she saw what I got, but sorry sister, this pen is only for me!

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet PenCarlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

It even had a built in doggie door just for little dogs my size!

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet PenCarlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

Mom filled my pen with some of my favorite toys at the shop so when she can’t keep an eye on me I could safely play inside my pen.

Now my sister and I both have our own special containment areas to keep us safe. Mom doesn’t have to worry about me jumping on the baby accidentally when she’s busy working, and I don’t have to worry about my little sister trying to steal all my toys! Because lets face it, I’m way more spoiled than her in the toy department.

Carlson Pet Products Portable Pet PenCarlson Pet Products Portable Pet Pen

The best part though is we can still see each other through the breathable and see-through mesh walls, so I can still fulfill my big brother duties by keeping an eye on little sis.

You can snag one of these awesome Portable Pet Pens from Carlson Pet Products for 10% off and FREE SHIPPING with code PETPEN10

Mom says these pens would also be great for puppies, taking pets on vacation, and even dogs that show and compete as they can be used outdoors as well!

Cool Weather Hikes

Cool Weather Hikes

It’s the most beautiful time of year in Chester County, Pennsylvania – so much so that last weekend I got out for a hike in the beautiful countryside.

Cool Weather Hikes

My pal Shilah the Husky even came along for the fun. Fall is Shilah’s kind of weather. With her thick sled dog coat she thrives in the cool weather, and not wanting to be left out I wore my Ruffwear Fleece* so that I too could have a “sled dog coat”.

Cool Weather Hikes

Oh and don’t worry, in case you were wondering, my family came along too! I can’t seem to shake these fools. 😉

Cool Weather Hikes

I even got to practice some of my dog agility fun with some log jumps…

Cool Weather Hikes

….and tunnels! (sorta) 😉

Cool Weather Hikes

But the best part of hiking is always the view! Thankful to live in such a gorgeous place, because when the sun is shining you can’t have a bad day!

Adventures in Petco

Adventures in Petco

Back in September I went on a very important adventure with my sister that I forgot to share. How could I forget? We went to Petco!

Adventures in Petco

It’s arguably one of the most important trips in a young baby’s life. I mean how else is she going to know where to shop for me?

Adventures in Petco

While I was there I even got to pick out a FREE pound of cookies thanks to the Birthday club. I never say no to cookies. And lucky for me my sister doesn’t eat cookies, so I didn’t even have to share.

Adventures in Petco

Now sister, we are going to go through every square inch of this store while I explain to you which are the best treats & toys. It’s going to take a while, but be oh-so-worth it for your education. You can thank me when you’re older.

What do you think my sister will get me for Christmas?

P.S. If you’re wondering more about the food I’ve picked up at the store, read all about my favorite toys, treats, food & more on my gear page.Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity
