Festive Wear

Since we’re narrowing down the countdown to Christmas (only 5 more days to go) I’ve been sporting some Holiday cheer around the shop lately. Just check me out in my Holiday scarf!

Yeah I know, it’s no reindeer antlers, but at least I’m sporting my red and green. What are you doing to get into the “festive” mood?

Beach Weather

A couple of weeks ago I spotted this…..

That’s a photo of my pal Cricket “sunning” at the farm. How you might ask? With a heat lamp of course! And you can bet that I begged and begged my mom until she finally relented and bought me my very own.

It’s like I’m at the beach at work! Pretty cool huh?

So while it’s a chilly 19 Degrees in Pennsylvania today I’m baking at the beach inside the shop!

I bet you wish you were me! 🙂

Downingtown Christmas Parade

Lucky for me, every year the Downingtown Christmas Parade comes right past my mom’s shop. Meaning I get a prime spot for watching all the festivities!

In 2007, my friend Minnow was in the parade….

Maybe someday I’ll get to be in the parade too! Paws crossed! What do you think I should dress up as should the need ever arise for a Christmas Doxie?

Shop Dog

When you visit my shop this is what you will see….

I know, sad right?

ok fine…..

you can also see this when you visit me at work……

I guess it’s not that bad. 🙂

Sometimes I Cry

Yes, I know I’m supposed to be a big boy…..but sometimes you just need your Daddy.

After my Dad visited me at the shop one Saturday, I was very sad to see him go. As embarrassing as it is, my mom caught my little “crying fit” on camera.

Can you blame me? We all lose it once in a while.

But don’t worry, I wasn’t sad for very long. My mom gave me a big juicy bone and I forgot all about my Dad after a few minutes (sorry Dad, I still love you).

Bird Snatcher

Don’t worry it’s not that kind of snatching.

See for the past week I’ve been noticing a little birdie on my way to work. She would perch on the fence next to the sidewalk where I walk everyday. She’d get sooo close to me I could almost touch her! Don’t worry I wasn’t going to eat her!

Mom and I thought it was strange that a bird would get that close to us, and seeing as how it was a strange looking bird too, we looked it up online.

Domestic Finch

So we decided our little friend the Finch must have escaped from someone’s house. And I told mom that I wanted a little bird sister and that we had to rescue her before it got WAY too cold!

Mom tried to catch the bird on her own….but it seems that she only wants to come out from hiding when I’m around….go figure!

So mom and I decided to set up a little home for her, so maybe she will feel safe enough to come home with us.

Here birdie birdie

I promise to take very good care of you!

Food and a nest for my little lost bird

Maybe the bird is hiding behind the fence?

Or maybe my expert doxie nose can sniff her out!

Sigh. I guess I’ll just have to hope the little finch likes the home I got ready for her.

But…..

When I was leaving work I spotted some unwanted visitors eating my bird’s food!

Don’t worry I scared them off!

I guess my bird catching will have to wait for another day. I hope it doesn’t get too cold outside for my little bird friend!

Downingtown Fall Fest 2010

On Sunday I had to go to work. I know, the horror….working on my day off. Although, it turned out to not be so bad – I got A LOT of treats!

See me and mom had a plan, a plan to get people into our shop during the Downingtown Fall Fest. We posted cute pictures of me all over the window, enticing people inside to meet me.

And you know what? My cute mug did the trick….hoards of people came through the door to meet me. And lets just say I jumped through my hoop and played dead about a billion times. All in the name of smiles!

Where are all the peoples?

maybe if I sit infront of the door people will come see me

I bet the helmet will do the trick!

finally getting to show off my hoop jumping skills

I gave an amazing performance when playing dead!

I could do this all day!

Scratch it

Lately I’ve been pretty busy making Artworks. I’m in high-demand you know….these paws are gold, pure gold I tell ya!

Over the past few months I’ve been really perfecting my technique. The one pawed scratch, the two pawed scratch, the scratch with all 4’s! You gotta vary it up if you want to make amazing scratch art! Sometimes I even amaze myself at my ability.

Anyhoo don’t take my word for it….just see for yourself….

Just keep digging, just keep digging.

Happy Howl-a-day!

Ok I know I’m about 3 months early for Christmas, but I can’t help it. The thought of presents under the tree are just sooo enticing!

This year I wanted to be extra prepared, so I made up a line of Christmas cards featuring me playing in the snow! Now you can send my cute mug all over the World – and we all know I’m all about World domination! Ammo for president! Woo hoo!

Anyway, here’s the new goods in my Etsy shop that I share with Painting Pony. Stock up early to avoid the Holiday rush!
