From day 1 my sister has been infatuated with me. It’s probably my stunning good looks, and my spitfire personality that does it, or perhaps I guess it might be because I look like a giant stuffed animal.
And I’ve loved her from the start too, maybe because she looks like a big stuffed animal sometimes too!
Whatever the case may be, we’re both thick as thieves. So when my sister needs something, I’m going to be there for her. In this case it was a tissue…..and I was more than happy to oblige….
A few weekends ago I took Baby P on a very special outing. I took her to her very first Christmas parade!
The real reason I’m always in attendance of my town’s holiday parade is to entertain the customers at our shop. I always do a pretty good job of that (nobody’s better than me at playing dead), and this year Baby P even helped me out by squealing and dancing for all the visitors too (only my camera crew missed catching that, shame on them). It was nice to have a little extra help, entertaining customers is hard work!
But after our duties at the shop (and more than a few diaper changes for Baby P), we hit the streets to watch the parade.
Fire trucks and flashing lights are always a favorite for me and now my sister too, but the music really gets us in the Christmas mood!
I was super excited to see some fellow low riders in the parade! Although I’m pretty sure I totally had them out dressed!
Baby P though, she got to wave to Santa! I admit, I was a bit jealous, but then I remembered that I’ve had 8 years of Santa visiting my house just for me, so I felt a little better about sharing Santa with my sister this year. Overall we had a blast at the Holiday Parade this year, and I can’t wait until next year when my sister will be running around at it with me!
Only 3 more sleeps until I get to see what Santa brings me under the tree! I can’t wait!
Just before Thanksgiving I went on a special adventure to visit Santa! Now I know what you’re thinking, visiting Santa before Thanksgiving? But hey….
…no lines! And when you have your little baby sister with you, no lines is a good thing!
That’s right, this was Baby P’s first time visiting with Santa. And you know I taught her well when the first thing she did was to tug on Santa’s beard to make sure it was real. You can never be too careful these days!
And if you’re thinking I let Baby P have all the fun, you would be mistaken. I NEVER pass up the opportunity to tell a jolly man in a red suit EXACTLY what I want for Christmas!
Next year Baby P and I need to work on our smiles. (It’s always hard to concentrate on picture taking when you’re trying to remember your Christmas wish list). We’ll get there.
It was fun to actually have a buddy to visit Santa with this year, after all, for the past 8 years I’ve been doing it solo. Santa is always more fun with friends!

Hey friends! My sister and I are here today to share how we spent last weekend getting into the holiday spirit. You know, because it’s not officially the Christmas season until you go full on Christmas!
Number one on the to-do list, GET THE CHRISTMAS TREE!
Since I’m an old pro about hunting down that special tree I got to lead the expedition for our happy Christmas tree. I was a bit worried at first that all the good ones were taken, but then I found the perfect one!
Baby P agreed, so we said Dad, CHOP IT DOWN!
But first we had to take a xmas tree self! (everyone does it)
Timber!
I could hardly get home fast enough once the tree was down to help decorate it with my family!
Before the decorating could begin though mom got us all in front of the camera for a family portrait. A special one at that because we all got to wear our Ugly Christmas Sweaters from our friends at BooHoo.com. (that’s right, they have sweaters for the whole family, even the dog!)
Although to be fair, I don’t think they are that ugly at all! Dad got to wear one that said “Chillin with my Snowmies”, Mom’s said “Santa! OMG Santa’s Coming, I know him, I know him” (can you guess that movie), Baby P was a little too small to fit into most of the sizes on their site but she didn’t want to be left out so she wore a 5 year old size that said “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal”. And as you can see I wore a fun holiday sweater too!
Official Christmas Family Photo ….check! Now it was time to decorate the tree!
The tree may have been trimmed, but Baby P and I weren’t ready to stop being Christmasy.
With maybe a few outtakes here and there! Yay for Christmas!
Well, Halloween is almost here, so it’s finally time for me to reveal my 2016 Costume. Each year I try to come up with something homemade, and a little different. Last year I was Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy, as I love to draw inspiration from some of my favorite movies. This year was no different.
Now if you don’t recognize this year’s costume then you must not have seen the movie Life Aquatic*. Here’s a brief synopsis:
“INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS OCENAOGRAPHER STEVE ZISSOU & HIS CREW SET SAIL ON AN EXPEDITION TO HUNT DOWN THE MYSTERIOUS, ELUSIVE – POSSIBLY NONEXISTENT – JAGUAR SHARK THAT KILLED ZISSOU’S PARTNER DURING THE DOCUMENTARY FILMING OF THEIR LATEST ADVENTURE.”
Adventure, well I’m in! Of course I was going to need a team though….

Good thing my family was totally ready to join Team Zissou!
When my sister was about 3 weeks old my cousins came to visit from the south. That little white dog is my cousin Sharkie, and the bigger dog on the right is my newly rescued cousin, Scout. And of course you know me and Trooper!
Since it’s rude not to take your guests on fun adventures when they visit you, of course I had to take them to the river for some swimming fun!
And don’t worry, my sister came along for the fun too. Although she was much too young to join in the water activities.
Trooper and Scout became fast friends and took to the water in no time. Especially Scout who I think may be part fish.
Now I tend to be a little more reserved with my swimming, and I usually don’t like to swim unless I have my life vest* on. But unfortunately this was a spur of the moment trip and I forgot to pack it! (Same with the other dogs who have life vests too).
While mom always keeps a watchful eye on me when I’m around the water, she had to watch my sister too.

So my pal Trooper stepped up to keep a watchful eye on me when I finally decided it was so hot that I had to test out the water.
What a great pal, making sure I got to shore safely each time.
Next time I’ll be sure to pack my life vest, but it’s good to know I’ve got friends that will help me out!

Now at first glance this might look like just a cute book about Dogs and Their People. And while that fun smiling corgi is super fun, there is something even more special about this book…
…I’m in the book! As you can see my sister couldn’t wait to help me celebrate my very first “in print” literature.
Many lucky dogs just like me have people that love them very much (like my sister here), so much so that the quirky stories that prove their love are included in this book of collected stories by my friends over at Barkbox!
So I’m sure none of you are surprised that I might be included in this book, after all my mom and dad do some crazy things to show me that they care. (Taking me flying, a road trip so I could walk the red carpet, and documenting my entire life on this blog to name a few)
In the Dogs and their People Book I’ve got an entire page dedicated to me, written by my mom!
The Barkshop even came out with this super fun replica book that doubles as a baby toy (or I guess dog toy depending on who you are)!
So if you’re looking for a cool gift for all your friends this holiday season, or just can’t get enough of yours truly, be sure to grab this fabulous book! It’s got so many fun reads inside that I’m still not finished it completely.
Just a few days before my sister was born I attended one last event with my mom and dad as an only “fur child”.
This was the first time I went to my town’s Music in the Park event, and boy was I in for a treat.
See all the children at the event seemed to know that I was going to be a big brother soon, so they took it upon themselves to break me in.
P.S. How cool is this kid’s “Indiana Jones*” outfit, now that would make a cool Halloween costume! *affiliate link
Sticky faces and lots of love, I was pretty sure I could totally get used to this.
One last photo with my mom and dad before we became a family of 4. I had no idea how much better it was going to get.
Then before I knew it, my sister was here – and guess what – I got to take her to music in the park a few days later!
Here’s a short video of me attending the event before she was born, and then again when she could enjoy it too!
I’m thinking I might need to teach my sister some of my sweet dance moves when she gets bigger. I didn’t want to show her up and break them out this time, but next time for sure!
Have you ever taken your dog to a music in the park event? Did they enjoy the music?
Since a lot has happened when my sister was born 2 months ago on August 7th, I have a lot to catch everyone up on! So today I’m going to start at the beginning, the day we first met.
My sister had to stay in the hospital for 2 whole days after she was born. But finally the day came when she got to come home.
It was an agonizing wait for me, as I stayed at the farm with my pal Trooper while my family was in the hospital. It was especially hard when I got to smell her baby blanket days before she came home, but yet still I had to wait to meet her. Then finally it was August 9th, the day she came home.
As you could see in the video, I could hardly wait to meet her. I got to say hi to mom and dad first before she came inside, and I knew things were going to be different after sniffing mom’s belly when she walked in the door. My sister was out in the world now, and I was going to have to make sure she stayed safe.
Of course before I did that I had to open the present mom and dad brought me. Priorities.
But after that, it was love. I went everywhere sister went, and made sure no one was going to hurt her. That’s what big brothers do.
Now that she’s a little bigger I’ve let go a little and I’m not so clingy. I have to learn to let her be independent after all, as there is much to teach her! Don’t worry though, if anyone messes with her I’ve got a pretty big guard dog bark!
So It’s been a little while since I’ve checked back in with all of you, but it’s been for a good reason! Many of you may have already seen the good news on Facebook, but on August 7, 2016 the newest member of my family made her long awaited appearance!
Meet Pyper!
While I couldn’t be there for the actual birth (apparently even well behaved dogs like myself aren’t allowed in the maternity ward at the hospital) Mom tells me she weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. That’s almost as long as me!
And from the day she was born she had these super long beautiful eyelashes, you know the kind only girls are supposed to have.
Nearly 2 months have passed since Pyper was born, and we’ve already gone on lots of adventures together. I can’t wait to share more about what we’ve been up to lately, but there’s a reason it’s taken me so long to even share with all of you on the blog that she’s finally here …
….sister never quite got the newborn memo that napping is fun! Obviously she doesn’t take after her big brother, but don’t worry, I’m trying my hardest to teach her how fun naps can be.
So while during the day my sister is up and ready for fun most of the time, she mostly gives me my beauty rest at night by sleeping 7 – 8 hours! But this also means Mom, Dad, and I are stretched pretty thin trying to get things done at the shop during the day (while also taking care of sister) as well as all the usual fun activities we like to do that take up time.
I plan to share more of our adventures with all of you soon, but it just may take me a little longer than normal to keep the blog updated at a regular pace. But incase you were still missing your daily dose of Ammo, I have been, and always will be updating my Instagram and Facebook Pages. So make sure you’re following me on there!
