Finally! Yesterday I got to have a true Snow Day! Which means I didn’t have to go to work, and I got to spend the day playing with my family in the snow.
This was Baby P’s first big snow, and I was so excited to show her exactly what to do on a snow day.
We make snow angels on Snow Days.
And we go sledding on Snow Days.
And we curl up on the couch and wait for mom to make us a warm beverage on snow days!
What do you do on snow days? 
It’s come to my attention that some of you may not know why us Dachshunds are so super cool. So incase you were unaware, I’ve made this handy list as to why Dachshund Rule The World.
Personal heating pad. Check. If you’re chilly, just grab a Dachshund, because we can put out some serious heat!
2. If rodents ever took over the World, your Dachshund would save you.
Honestly, we don’t even need an excuse like total World domination to justify a good old fashioned hunt down.
3. Your Dachshund will teach you to have the patience of a saint.
Us Dachshunds have our own agenda, and if we want to do something (or don’t want to do something), you better believe we won’t be listening to your commands.
4. You won’t need to waste your money on a shovel when you have a Dachshund.
Born to dig, that’s our motto. Just think of all the money you saved by not buying all those shovels!
5. Your floors, and tables, and pretty much any surface we can reach will be spotless.
Smell food. Will eat…by any means necessary. Enough said.
6. You’ll have a reason to smile every day when you share your home with a Dachshund.
We’re goofy, and silly, and never run out of ways to do something just totally ridiculous that will make you smile.
7. Our unique body shape inspires all kinds of art.
Seriously, just try shopping at Target without finding something with a Dachshund on it. We’re that cool.
8. We have no idea that we’re small.
If you always wanted a big dog, look no further. We Dachshunds believe we’re the biggest dogs of them all, and despite our size, we have no problem striking fear into the hearts of all the big dogs out there.
9. We have a distinct smell all our own.
Ah, the aroma of a Dachshund. It will grow on you.
10. We love our families something fierce.
Nothing can compare to the love that a Dachshund has for his family. And that my friends is why Dachshunds Rule!

Well, my adorable buddy Miss P is now 7 months old! Don’t let her sweet little smile fool you….
..she knows how to get EXACTLY what she wants with her little pouty lip. It’s almost better than my sad puppy eyes. Almost.
I’ve taught her well.
In fact, I’ve taught her so well that I think she’s going to start crawling any day now! She’s a smarty pants, just like her big brother!
Baby P and I are also working on her first word. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be “Ammmmo” but mom is trying to edge me out with “MaMa”. We shall see who wins.
And now we leave you with pouty lips and sad puppy eyes, because Baby P and I want some snacks! Feed us please!
Summer is going to be here before you know it, and I want to be totally ready with my summer bod. Which is why I’m not letting a little cold weather keep me from getting my muscles back…..

This February was amazing, mostly because I had so many warm Spring-like days! So crazy! And I also had a lot of fun adventures, so that too.

I finally got to play Dress-up with my sister, and it was everything I thought it’d be!
I shared just how much activity I’m actually getting on a daily basis.
I shared a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Dogs.
I celebrated the fact that my sister is now 1/2 a year old.
I shared my own rendition of a classic kids song.
I popped some tags at the thrift store.
I wrote an ode to my mailman.
I shared my spring to-do list.
I invited everyone in to tour my sister’s castle.
And so begins my March! I’m looking forward to a warm (and super early) Spring, how about you?
It’s come to my attention that I never properly shared my new little sidekick’s bedroom. After all, it took mom and I a really long time to get it just right.
So come on in, and welcome to the Princess’ Castle!
This is the room where my sister’s dog crate resides. I still haven’t figured out why she hasn’t jumped out of it yet!
Although I’m pretty sure it won’t be long before she breaks out of her crate at night, because the artwork above her is totally accurate. I’m also fairly confident in saying that she’s so fierce that her “bark” might even be louder than mine!
Even if she does break out though, I’ll be right here waiting.
Waiting to make sure she doesn’t touch my toys, or my dog bowl, or my favorite pillow on the couch.
Yup, that’s definitely the face of a little sister that’s going to escape her dog crate. I knew it.
Looks like we won’t be getting any sleep again tonight pony.

With Spring just around the corner (it’s in the 70’s today…that’s crazy!) I realized I better get to work creating my Spring To-Do List. Because there is soooo much to do to be ready for Spring.
Ammo’s Spring To-Do List:
#1: Get dirt for mom’s vegetable garden. I never pass up the opportunity to play in a big pile of dirt. Bonus if its from the mushroom farm, because then I know it’s extra stinky.
#2: Help Dad rebuild the ramp to my shed. Which basically means that I get to take some more trips to my favorite hardware store…yippee!
#3: Help mom pick out plants for the vegetable garden. This time I’m hoping she plants corn, because that’s my favorite!
#4: Locate all the new critter holes around my home, so I’ll know just where to dig when the warm weather hits.
#5: Help out with maintenance around the farm. (Also know as digging holes for fence posts)
#6: Widen all the openings to the ground hog holes on the farm (after hibernation I’m sure those ground hogs are gonna be extra fat and extra stuck)
#7: Roll in the stinkiest stuff I can find. Because when Spring hits I want to be able to blend right into my surroundings.
#8: Scratch my back in the grass. It’s just not the same in the winter!
#9: Take a nap outside WITHOUT a coat on!
#10: Rub my after-bath fur all over the house. Because after all those dirt related things I’m sure mom is going to make me take a bath!

Ode to My Mailman
I wonder what it’s like to be a mailman,
To carry all that mail.
I bet I’d look sweet in that uniform,
Even with my furry tail.
I probably wouldn’t want to go outside in bad weather,
So I might not be so great at delivering a letter.
And I’d much rather wait for the mail anyway,
Because my mailman does it so much better!
After all, he always remembers to deliver me a sweet treat! Thanks for all the mail Mr. Mailman!

Just like my boy Macklemore my mom has been hitting up the local thrift store with only 20 dollars in her pocket in search of some hidden gems.
She’s been coming home from the local Goodwill with all kinds of cool finds for my sister. Those dog pjs are super cute I have to admit. Honestly though, I was starting to feel a little left out.
I probably shouldn’t have spoke too soon, because before I knew it mom had popped two dog hats out of her bag that she had picked up just for me. Sigh, I knew where this was going….
Yup, before I could bark in protest it was a full blown dress-up session!
Eh, who am I kidding. I totally love to play dress-up….especially since I look so awesome in this hat!
I might not look as cool in this one, but at least my head will be warm the next time it snows! (And yes, I’m rooting for snow at least once more this winter, because otherwise I won’t get to try out my new sled!)
I’m pretty sure Baby P is chomping at the bit to play Dress-up with me. Soon, very soon, and in the meantime I’m more than happy to practice in my ninety-nine cent hat! And in the words of Macklemore….
