Dog’s Day at Devon

A Dog's Day at the Devon Horse Show

Just like every year for the past 7 years I made sure not to miss the Devon Horse Show last week! Devon is one of the oldest and largest multi-breed horse competitions in the United States and every year it never disappoints with tasty food to eat, fun horse events to see, and of course….

….people to watch! I’ve become quite the expert at people watching, after all the things you humans do are so fascinating sometimes!

After hobnobbing with some of the equestrian elite I decided to hit the pavement and explore the grounds!

Devon has always been the go-to place for all the cool dogs in town, and I even ran into this fellow who was helping to run an art gallery on the grounds!

Then I ran into this fine looking dude, Buddy, who looked an awful lot like someone I know. I just can’t place who…. 😉

After some obligatory butt-sniffing we became fast friends! Until we meet again Buddy!

Another successful year at Devon in the books! I can’t wait until next year when I get to bring my little sister along to enjoy it too. (although I guess technically she did come along this year too….but she couldn’t really appreciate all the sights!) 😉

Are there any outings you take your dog on every single year?Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

  1. We go to the Bark and Wine. It is a fundraiser for Dachshund Rescue of N.A. (DRNA) Last year there were 100 dachshunds there. A lot of butts to sniff! It is so fun!

  2. Hey Ammo – looks like fun. I like the old guy who runs the art gallery. Enjoy these outings while you can, little buddy. After your little sister comes, you’re going to have to learn some big lessons in sharing. I’m sure you’ll be a great big brother.

  3. Hiya Ammo!!! We used to go to the Bark in the Park, but since I work on Saturdays now, we haven’t been in a couple of years. It’s basically a fund raiser for our local no-kill shelter. I used to volunteer there too. Glad you had a great time and met some new friends. Have a great weekend. We loves ya, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio

  4. Every year Mini gets to go to Tractor Supply for their annual P.A.W. celebration. She gets to meet a lot of new people, but there usually aren’t many other dogs there for her to meet. What she loves most is the treats and chews aisle!
We always end up coming back with a pig ear.
