Basketball and Snowballs

Basketball and Snowballs - Ammo the Dachshund hangs with Cruisr the Band

Over the weekend I visited the park to shoot some hoops. Before I get to who exactly I was playing basketball with you have to first play this happy music while you read the rest of this post:

Why you ask must you play that music? Because not only did I shoot hoops with Dad, but also the lead singer to the band CRUISR….who also happens to be Dad’s old college roommate.

I tried to play it cool and not look like too much of a groupie, but in reality I just wanted to scream and say “Andy States touched my fur!!!” like all the fan girls that meet CRUISR on tour.

Hopefully I came off a bit cooler than that tough!

Not only did I get to shoot some hoops with Mr. States, but I also got to eat SnoBalls with him!!

Pelican’s SnoBalls is this brand-new frozen treat spot that opened up in my hometown, and I was excited to get to try them out.

Not only do they have treats for the humans, but they have dog friendly Pup Cups too.

The hardest part was waiting patiently for my frozen bowl of goodness to be ready.

It was worth the wait though!

Mom made sure to only let me eat small bites of the ice, in case of brain freeze….can dogs even get a brain freeze? Better safe than sorry I guess!

Overall it was a fantastic way to spend one of the warmest days so far this Spring. Do you take your dog for frozen treats in the summer?

Don’t forget to check out the super catchy summertime music from my friends at CRUISR!Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

  1. Hey Ammo – what a great post! Glad you got to shoot hoops with your idol, plus get to eat a snowball! The picture of you in the turquoise chair is just too cute! Looks like a great way to kick off the spring! XXX000

  2. What a fun day Ammo! Waiting in the little chair for your pup cup is priceless. ?

  3. Hiya Ammo!!! That sounds like it could become a new springtime tradition (eating icey goodies can be an anytime tradition, hehe). Hoops and cold yummies!!! Sounds like y’all had a wonderful day. And anyday is a great day to meet an idol and make a new friend. Actually, that title had me worried that y’all had gotten another round of winter up there. Glad it’s warming up for ya. Have a great day Ammo and family. Blessed be, love and hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio

  4. Ammo…great taste in music buddy!
When I saw your pic on chair..I screamed out…it’s so funny and cute!

  5. We most definitely take our dachshund for treats. She can’t wait to get in the car.
