A Seat Cover from Ruffwear to keep Pet Hair at Bay

My buddy Trooper recently got a new car. As in a sparkly, shiny, glistening new car that muddy paws, pet hair, and dog cookies were not allowed in!

That is until my friends at Ruffwear sent us one of their new Dirtbag Seat Covers, so us dirty dogs were finally allowed to ride in the new car!

The Ruffwear Dirtbag™ Seat Cover is a durable, waterproof cover that shields vehicle seats from the remnants of dog adventures.

It can be installed in a traditional or hammock configuration, and their non-slip fabric keeps your dogs from sliding around during the ride.

The great thing about the Dirtbag is that it maintains openings for seatbelts. So for dogs like Trooper and I who are always securely seat belted in during drives can still do so.

During our long road trip last week to South Carolina Trooper and I brought along the Dirtbag Seat Cover, and the humans were super thankful we did because my boy Trooper here is like the shedding king!

And when one of us (I’m not pointing fingers) rolled in something extra stinky, the Dirtbag kept the new car seats stink free until the cover could be popped into the wash.

Another cool feature is this handy pocket for storing leashes, bowls, or anything you may need. And when you’re done using the cover it can fold up and be stored inside the built-in zippered pocket.

Even our pal Cricket the Cat thought the cover looked mighty neat!

So if you’ve got some four legged passengers you need to protect your seats from, then I highly recommend checking out the Dirtbag seat cover from Ruffwear!

My dog, Heidi, has a doggie car seat. We tried harnessing her in but she whined and cried so now she will be in her seat but jumps down and will end up in the front seat cradled in my arms. The seat cover would be great for her and she would be able to get to go between the front and back seats easier. She is a dachshund after all.

I don’t have a car, but i rent one regularly and have to put down blankets in the rentals so that my puppy don’t damage them. This would be great to protect the cars.

Charlie and Prinnie would love this! Our old one is worn out from so much use! 🙂

Hiya Ammo!!! What a great item. My babies usually ride well, but they’ve only been on trips of around 10 miles or so. Not sure how they’d do on a long trip. My Sassy that died a couple of years ago was a great traveler. She’d been from North Carolina to Pennsylvania and back with no problems at all. Thanks for having the giveaway. Blessed be, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio

Hi Ammo,,,I’m Tully and this my sister Sissy,

  6. Abbie12-02-15

I like to think he is! He always knows when we are getting near our destination, and will stand up. Although sometimes traffic tricks him. 😉 This would be super cool, because he gets hair everywhere, and we have a homemade seat cover that works, but isn’t quite as nifty!

  7. Anita Harris12-02-15

My dachshund Nibbler is a great traveler, he goes everywhere with me as he is my service dog. He loves to go and can’t wait to get his harness on.

  8. Erin12-02-15

Our boy is in the car every day, so car rides are no big deal to him. He just settles in and snoozes until we reach our destination.

  9. Jennifer Hite12-05-15

So cute you guys have fun

  10. Linda12-06-15

Our dog is pretty good in the car!

  11. Kathy12-07-15

This seems like a great product! Our dog is really good in the car, just sleeps.

  12. Angela12-07-15

We love to travel with our 3 dachshund boys. We cover the back seat with a blanket because most trips are to the park to walk/hike and they get dirty feet. Would love this. Great idea!
