A Wireless Camera to Monitor your Pet + A Giveaway

Now if you thought my every move was documented on this blog, I’m about to take it to a whole new level thanks to my new friends over at Vimtag!

Vimtag is the creator of a Wireless Video Monitoring System that you can use to spy on your dog!

My new little companion here can connect to your ethernet or wifi network and records HD video of anything you would like.

And I bet you can guess what my mom decided to record with my Vimtag….me! I am the star of this show after all.

So after a simple 4 step setup (mom didn’t even finish reading all the directions before she had it up and running), my Vimtag was ready to record some video.

From the Vimtag online portal mom can monitor what I’m doing in the other room, as well as have access to a whole slew of other features!

But the absolute best part (for your mom and dad at least) is that the Vimtag goes mobile with the FREE Vimtag App! From here your video monitoring is totally on the go, with access to a live view of your pet whenever you’re away from them.

From the app you can even tilt and pan the camera, listen in to exactly what you pet is doing, record picture snap shots and video (for viewing later) and even TALK TO YOUR PET!

You can also set up motion alerts for the camera, so if your pet enters the room (or maybe jumps on the bed if they aren’t supposed to) you can get a notification on your phone. With the addition of a mini sd card you can even set it up to auto-record when the camera detects movement. I guess my days of being sneaky while mom and dad are gone are over!

So a few weeks ago mom and dad set up the Vimtag camera in the bedroom (where I tend to nap a lot) on a night they were headed out of the house without me.

Then my parents headed off to a local football game (can you believe they didn’t take me!), but checked on me several times throughout the night with the Vimtag mobile app. Even though it had gotten dark at home, the camera has night vision so they were still able to see what I was up to crystal clear.

Here’s a fun little playback of some of the video mom and dad saved from that evening…

Being that this is the first time ever mom and dad got to see what I did when they were away from home they noticed that I was on high alert to every little sound. So next time they said they’ll leave a TV on for me so some of the outside noise is drowned out. And when I heard them talk to me through the camera for the first time, boy did I cry! I may be a tough dog, but I always miss my mom and dad when they’re away. (P.S. don’t worry, they were only 5 minutes from home when they decided to test out the voice feature)

My mom and dad thought the Vimtag Wireless Video Monitoring Camera was a great way to give them peace of mind while they were away from me, and with a cost of $99, it’s a great price for adding several to your home – to capture anything you can imagine! (Hopefully they didn’t catch me trying to sneak onto the dining table the other night!) They even work for a whole slew of other things like Nanny Cam, Business Monitoring, Security, Vacation Home Monitoring, and Senior Monitoring.

You can snag your own Vimtag Wireless Video Monitoring Camera from Amazon! They’d make an awesome Christms gift too!

  1. This would be amazing. I got a little pup and i miss her like crazy during the day and this would be great to keep an eye on her when i’m at work or have to run out for a bit.

  2. I think my dogs lay in the bed mostly but I have come home to evidence of mischief from time to time.

  3. I don’t know and my roommates and I wonder all the time! I would love to know what they do in the garage all day. When I first got Poppy, I had her in a little penned off area and video’d her for about 90 min (till the battery ran out) and it was interesting to see (and sad, as she has major separation anxiety and would cry!)

  4. I’ve always wondered what my weenie has been up to while I’m gone! I have trouble leaving him home for long periods of time due to my anxiety.

  5. Hi Ammo- I would love to have a camera. Your doxie friend Cosmo is a black wiener dog that likes to bark during the day when I’m not home so it would be nice to have a camera. Thanks!

  6. I would LOVE to see what my Gnarly does while we are out and about. I’ve always had a hunch that he just naps, but I’m still curious! This camera would be awesome.

  7. He’s usually crated for safety, but I would love to know if he ever settles, since he’s always awake when I come to get him. It would be invaluable for foster dogs, though!

  8. I have always wanted a camera to check in on Bella while she’s home alone. I’m always curious as to what she does all day. Great giveaway Ammo!!! **Fingers and paws crossed**

  9. A ver si tengo suerte
Mi Tekel tiene ansiedad por separación y la cámara me ayudaría a estar más pendiente de él.
Gracias Ammo por la oportunidad de conseguir este regalo

    Kisses from Manresa (Barcelona) Spain

  10. I would love to know what my dog does after we leave! He makes a big fuss when we go out the door but he settles down after 5 minutes based on audio recordings. It would be great to see what he does.

  11. Hiya Ammo!!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got lots of treats. My babies (well Rio actually) cries whenever I leave, but he must settle down sometime, cuz they’re usually quiet when I get home. They have access to the bed, so I hope they cuddle under the covers and sleep a lot. Don’t wanna keep the neighbors too much company, lol, what with their vocal antics. Thanks for having the giveaway, I’d love to know what they’re up to at all times. Blessed be, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio

  12. I know that Jasper naps a lot, but goodness only knows what kind of mischief he gets into in between naps.

  13. I ❤️ your blog and my 6 kids do as well, Mackenzie (my daughter), Ty (my son), and my four legged kiddos Izzy (Standard Red/Pibald Doxie), her Sister Emma (a long haired Red/Pibald Doxie), Coco(Izzy & my first baby Mini Doxie Chocolate/Tan and so loooong), and our newest baby Maple(our Mini Doxie Dapled with one beautiful ice blue eye & one deep hazel eye.) My little close nit family get adventurous when I have to leave them which always breaks my heart hearing them cry as I do. Momma Bear Izzy starts playing with our baby Maple, while Emma is off in the kitchen jumping up on the table to knock down puppy treats and sometimes paper towels. After sneaking a treat or two, they all take a nap in their cozy pillow fortress. Then our baby decides to tear apart the fun extras her Aunt Emma knocked off the table all over the living room, then I get the sweet puppy eyes with a slight head tilt as she plays I’m not guilty. Or she tries to hide one of my shoes and slippers from me which she is very good at today one slipper is still nowhere to be found. Of course every tiny sound, light refraction or shadow, or kitty/squirrel intruder that passes by the front door is scared away by my little furoshish protectors of the castle. The amazing candid photos and halarious high jinxs my four legged family get into while I am away caught on video would be a blast to share with everyone! Our baby is also a master at hiding things all over the house so she can play or eat them later on, I would love to see what she takes and where her other hiding spots are other than under the pillow in her small dog bed or under their large pillow mat where Izzy does what I call her Izzy Itchy Dance which our baby does now. You never know what my family will get into while I am away and I would love to watch and talk to them while away. Especially during my long hospital stays after my next spinal surgery, I bring pictures and my stuffed doxies my kids bought me but I can’t sleep without them snuggled up next to me. After 10 lumbar spinal surgeries as of now and the upcoming surgeries to deal with the tumor inside my spinal cord and all the slipped/ruptured discs but I don’t care to talk about my disability, but it’s one of the reasons why I started my family with my Doxies. Have a great and amazing Christmas Ammo! I know my girls are looking forward to ripping off their custom wrapping paper I make each year off their presents.

  14. Well, I have 3 Basset Hounds and they are very sneaky. One is named Snoopy girl for a reason lol. I would love to know which one gets opens the cupboard door and gets the garbage out and who leaves the presents for me some days.. Thanks for the chance!

  15. i dont know i think she goes through the house smelling things she loves to do that and my house is clean she finds new spots to sleep in

  16. I think Sambo sleeps in his bed by the door, but does not sleep much because he is waiting to hear us coming back home so he can stick his head out the door as it opens. ?

  17. Can’t wait to watch my Hound…wishful thinking that I’ll win…lol
    Finally a little spy action!

  18. I would like to think that my dogs mostly sleep while we are away but sometimes we come home to strange things. Sometimes the throw rugs will rearranged and once one of them was out in the back yard. Sometimes things from outside get brought inside through the doggie door and usually that stuff is messy.

  19. Our dog tears up our house when we’re gone. He’s gets terrible anxiety and destroys anything he can.
