Dachshund Tormented by House Fly

Ok, so I know you probably think of me as this big brave Super Hero, and I am! But sometimes I come up against some unexpected evil that throws me for a loop. And that evil is called House Fly.

Ammo the Dachshund Tormented by House Fly

As much as I hate to admit it, I spend many hours hiding in the shop from these horrible creatures that find their way inside.

Mom tries her best to catch those darn flies that make my life a nightmare, but sometimes there is just one that seems to outsmart every capture device there is. So I finally decided to dog-up and fight back…

Well unfortunately that House Fly lived to fight another day! Until we meet again nemesis, this time I’m ready for you!

Does your dog have any irrational fears like me?Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

  1. My pup has a pretty rational fear of fireworks. It’s the only thing, even on TV, that she freaks out over. (Can’t say I am a fan either)

  2. Hiya Ammo!!! When I first got Misty, she was afraid of everything. She’s my rescue baby and hadn’t been treated very well. She didn’t know how to play or be a dog. She’s come a long way since then, and my Rio (a chi-weenie) has been a big help in that. They now scuffle over toys and play so much. (Rio usually ends up with the toys too, hehe.) Rio doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything, but then he barks all day long, so who knows??? LOL They are my joys. Hope you’re having a great week. Blessed be, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio

    • BTW, their BarkBox came—you’ve never seen two such happy lil pups. Thank you so very much!!! Love and hugs!!!

      • Your Misty sounds a lot like my best pony friend, Minnow! He was a rescue too, and was the same way when he came to live at our farm.

So happy to hear you’re enjoying your Barkbox! It’s the greatest thing to ever come in the mail!

  3. You know Ammo, being afraid of flies could be a very good thing. My dachshund Melanie always tried to catch flies (with her mouth). This backfired on us when she got stung by a bee and we found out that she was allergic to bees. It was a very scary time, waiting for the medicine to take effect and keeping her comfortable and calm. So you see, that can be a very good fear to have.
