Dachshund deafness
My parents owned a doxie for a number of years and I agree…selective listening skills have been mastered by all doxies! I think it is a requirement that doxies agree to when they sign the “Doxie contract”…like the cat contract requires that all cats lay on freshly dried, clean clothes and get their hair all over them.
Andy Wyatt…you try to claim he’s losing his hearing…apparently this selective hearing is common among these stubborn pups!

LOL Ammo! Our girl is just like you … She gets so involved in “hunting” in the backyard … Totally ignoring us until we call out the magic word “treat” … Then she’ll race to the house faster than a speeding bullet!

Ammo, my dachshund is the same way. But if I say treat or ice cream boy, look out. She certainly hears that.
