Over the weekend it got hot hot hot, and instead of just laying around the house panting I decided to go to the lake!
I’m no stranger to the Marshcreek Lake, in fact I took my first paddleboarding adventure out there just last year.
This time though I decided to take to the lake via kayak!
The wind in my ears was just what I needed to cool off on a hot summer day.

Bandit and I like to chill out in the wading pool in the backyard. We will probably head out to a lake pretty soon!

Our summers around here rarely get so hot that we need to “escape” the heat. If we do, we sometimes go to the beach where the air is cooler or a shady park. Looks like you had fun in the boat. Chester and Gretel have not been out in a kayak yet 🙂

Ammo, we’ve had our dachshund, Heidi, there. We don’t kayak though. We rented a little motor boat and walked the trails. It’s a beautiful place. Very serene.
