Adventures in Furniture Refinishing

Yeah….not really my idea of a good time either. But, mom was on a mission over the weekend to refinish an old dresser from the farm…..and who am I to argue?

I was given official inspection duty, you know, to make sure no spots were missed.

Aside from a few stink bugs, it passed my rigorous test.

Now the fancy new dresser is sitting pretty in the dining room.

Now if only I could decide on which drawer to put my bones in!

  1. Ammo, your mom is very resourceful in refinishing an old piece of furniture. I am sure she appreciated your help, being that you are quite a great painter in your own right!

    • Very true! What you didn’t see is I TRIED to help paint…..but for some reason as soon as I got my paws on the paint…mom and dad started trying to grab me as I raced around the house. I still have no idea why I then had to be washed off in the sink!!? I was just trying to help!

  2. Awww, Ammo, it was good of you to help! I am sure it was appreciated. But I guess your mom didn’t want little white paw prints all over the house!

  3. Wow, that looks fantastic! Amazing what refinishing can do. Nice job! And Ammo, clearly you did a great job with the inspection. 🙂

  4. Excellent inspection work! We were going to ask if you ended up with a white snooter/white paws, but you already answered that! 😉 I’d suggest squeaky toys in the bottom drawer, bones in the next drawer up…
